【Properties and application】

1. It is readily soluble in water, methanol, and ethanol, but insoluble in mineral oil. It is used as an emulsifier, dispersant, wetting agent, solubilizer, and stabilizer in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and food industries.

2. It is used as a stabilizer and foaming aid in the production of polyurethane foam. It can be used as an antistatic agent in synthetic fibers and as an intermediate in chemical fiber oils. It is used as a wetting agent and dispersant in the production of photosensitive film. It easily emulsifies silicone oil in fabric waterproofing, achieving excellent results. It is also used as an oiling agent and water-soluble emulsifier for nylon and viscose cord, often mixed with S-80.

3. It is used as an emulsifier, wax inhibitor, heavy oil wetting agent, drag reducer, and near-wellbore treatment agent in oilfields. It is also used in the preparation of lubricating and coolant fluids for precision machine tools.
