【Properties and application】

1. It is soluble in most organic solvents and disperses in water, exhibiting excellent emulsifying and diffusing properties.

2. In the textile industry, it is used as a primary component in spinning oils for synthetic fibers such as polyester, polyacrylonitrile, and polyvinyl alcohol. It exhibits emulsifying and antistatic properties, softening and smoothing sized yarns and reducing end breaks. It also acts as a softening and smoothing agent in chemical fiber sizing agents and eliminates foam in synthetic sizing liquids.

3. In the pharmaceutical industry, it is used as an emulsifier in the manufacture of liniments, creams, and emulsions.

4. It can be used as an emulsifier for pesticides and emulsion polymerization, and is used in the formulation of water-soluble metal cutting fluids and household detergents.
