【Properties and application】

1. Dispersible in water to form a white emulsion. It is readily soluble in mineral oil and benzene, exhibiting excellent emulsifying, wetting, antistatic, plasticizing, and rust-proofing properties.

2. Used as a specialty detergent and dyeing auxiliary in the textile industry; as an emulsifier for neatsfoot oil in leather processing; as a grinding aid for pigments and inks in the coatings and printing industries; as a paper relubricant in the papermaking industry; as a dispersant in the rubber industry; and as a plasticizer in the plastics industry. It is also used as an emulsifier for pesticides, glass, and paraffin wax.
